Carry enough water for the drive and delays. A portable bottle or leak-resistant container should be easy to use during short stops and simple to clean after the trip.

2. Food and feeding
Pre-portion meals, keep food sealed and pack a collapsible bowl. Avoid switching food immediately before travel unless advised by a professional.

4. Cleanup supplies
Pack waste bags, towels, wipes suitable for your pet, and a sealed place for damp items. A paw-cleaning product can be useful after parks, rain or beaches.

Use one dedicated travel organizer so feeding, cleanup and documentation stay easy to reach. Include a familiar blanket or bed if space allows.
